Descriptions Teams is automatically activated for every employee when they join the organization. Teams is compatible with the following operating systems: Windows macOS Android iOS/iPadOS Linux (web version of Teams) Multiple people, as well as guests from outside UT, can participate in online meetings, chats and regular phone calls. An internet connection is required to participate. You can register or log in using your UT email address. See this introduction to Teams to learn more about the basics. Terms and costs You must be employed by UT and have an internet connection to use this service. No costs are charged. April 2026 Teams, Teams, Teams! They say the best things come in threes. Just ask the Powerpuff Girls or the original Pokémon starters. This month, Teams lives up to that rule with three updates lined up for you. The app bar becomes more streamlined with hidden app names, you’ll soon be able to pre-assign breakout rooms using a CSV file, and meetings can be automatically transcribed without creating a recording. Below, you can read what each change means for you and when it will become available. Microsoft Teams: App names hidden in the app bar What? Microsoft Teams is getting a cleaner and more focused app bar. App names will be hidden by default, so you’ll only see the icons. When you hover over an icon or navigate to it using your keyboard, the app name will appear automatically. If you prefer to always see app names, you can turn this on via Settings > Appearance > Show app names in the app bar

DESCRIPTION Microsoft Teams Rooms - University of Twente Teams Rooms is a hybrid meeting solution to connect with remote attendees in your meeting. You don’t need to connect your notebook to a central screen or camera, the room itself is part of the meeting. You can use the room directly by calling UT contacts, but when you create a Teams meeting with the room as the location, the room is booked and your meeting is scheduled.
