Twente for Protest: protest against national budget cuts

Twente for Protest (WOinActie), labour unions (FNV, AOb) and Enschede Student Movement organise a strike against national budget cuts

On 25 March, University of Twente employees will lay down their work to fight against the disastrous budget cuts in education. This is part of the national relay strike, organised by WOinActie, and the unions. We call on everyone to fight together for a future-proof education. This is our moment to take action!

(Preliminary) Programme of the day:

  • 08:30 - 10:00 Picketing on campus
  • 11:30 - 13:00 Demonstration on the O&O Square with speakers, music, food and drinks

  • 14:30 - 17:00 Science Fair
  • 15:30 - 17:00 Mini-lectures
  • 17:00 - 17:30 Closing demonstration in the city centre

This strike is an initiative of Twente for Protest (an initiative by staff and students of the University of Twente) and the labour unions FNV and AOb. The UT is not part of the organisation but is facilitating the protests, for example, through guidelines allowing staff and students to participate in this protest.
