The Master's specialisation in Positive Clinical Psychology & Technology (PCPT) uses a selection procedure with a maximum number of available places (as of the academic year 2022-2023). The selection procedure is simple and transparent and aims to admit students who consciously choose the field of work of a health care psychologist and for whom the Positive Clinical Psychology & Technology specialisation is a suitable programme.
Bachelor's prerequisites
The details of your previous (bachelor’s) education will determine whether you fulfil the admission requirements for the master in Psychology, specialisation PCPT. In general, at least a Bachelor’s degree obtained no more than 10 years ago, in the academic field of Psychology is needed, including specific knowledge, such as clinical and personality psychology, psychopathology, neuropsychology, developmental psychology, conversation/communication skills and psychodiagnostics (including the entire diagnostic assessment process documented in a (psychological) case report). Furthermore, your (English) language skills and academic/research skills will be assessed in the application process. Detailed admission criteria can be found in the table below.
Our eligibility check is designed to assist you as a student holding a non-Dutch diploma. It gives you a first indication of your eligibility, i.e. your chances of being admitted to the Master's in Psychology. The e-check takes about five minutes to complete. Please note that this is not the official admission procedure and that no rights can be derived from the outcome of the eligibility check.

Please check your e-mail (including spam folder) regularly (=preferably daily) from the 15th of November until the 23rd of December, because if we inform you about a placing offer from the waiting list, you need to inform us within a short period of time (one or two weeks) if you will accept our offer for a place in the PCPT specialisation.

Even if you meet the CGPA, this does not mean that you will be admitted, as the admission committee will also review your relevant courses and the scores you hold for these (relevant) courses.
The University of Twente will take your application under consideration and will then proceed to transfer it to a pre-master's programme in case you are not directly eligible for a master's programme. If some cases, you might receive a rejection of your application, please be aware this rejection is valid for both master's and pre-master's programmes.
