Are you an international student and DID YOU OBTAIN YOUR BACHELOR'S no more than ten years ago? You need to complete two important steps.
The Master's specialisation in Positive Clinical Psychology & Technology (PCPT) uses a selection procedure and has a maximum number of available places. The selection procedure is clear and transparent and focuses on students who deliberately choose a career as a health care psychologist and who are a good match for the PCPT specialisation.
If you hold an international bachelor’s degree and want to apply for the Master's specialisation in PCPT, you first need to check your eligibility to see if you meet the admission requirements. Once you are eligible, you can start your application.
Step 1 | Check your elibility
This mandatory e-check is for prospective master’s students with an international bachelor’s degree and shows whether you meet the admission requirements. It takes five minutes to check if you are eligible or not. The outcome is only an indication, not an official admission decision. Even if you appear to be ineligible, you can still start your application. The final decision is made by our Admission Office after you submit it.
After submitting the eligibility check, you will receive an email with a code. Keep this code handy, you will need it for step 2.
Step 2 | Start your application
Have you received the code from the eligibility check by email? You can now start your application via the online platform Studielink by following the link in the email.
Note: You can apply even if you have not yet obtained your diploma. In that case, you may be conditionally admitted and will still need to graduate
About the PCPT Selection procedure
If you meet the formal admission requirements for the master Psychology, specialisation PCPT, you will be invited for the selection procedure, which consists of two rounds. Based on (the formal prerequisites and) the selection criteria, a selection committee decides on the ranking for admission. Candidates get a ranking number on the placement list, and candidates with a ranking number up to the maximal number of available places (70 students) will be offered a place in the PCPT specialisation. Candidates can take part in the selection procedure no more than three times. The following qualitative admission criteria will be assessed in the selection procedure:
Round 1
- Technology in mental health care skills (40%) – Candidates have to complete an assignment concerning a challenge in mental health care for which they describe a research proposal.
- Relevant earlier accomplishments (20%) – (weighted mean) grade(s) for relevant/specific study components required for PCPT specialisation as stated in this form (also see ‘admission requirements and deadlines’), obtained up to the time of submission.
Round 2 (selected 90 students, based on criteria 1 and 2)
- Communication and reflection skills and intrinsic motivation (40%) – During a selection interview, the selection committee will ask questions (based on a pitch, earlier accomplishments and motivation) to assess these skills and motivation.
