Our University aims to foster a talent-powered culture and attitude with leaders who play a crucial role in achieving this goal. To create a shared understanding of leadership at UT, a Leadership framework has been developed.
As management and leadership complement each other, this course focuses on both aspects and the importance of the different skills.
Management is about doing things right. Making sure people do what they have to do within the given limits of resources available.
Leadership is about doing the right things. You need to know where you want to be, how to get there, and how to inspire the people around you to contribute to shared goals and ambitions.

Intake
An intake takes place prior to the training. In this, the learning question is defined and a final decision is made as to whether participation is appropriate. As a preparation for this meeting we ask you to reflect on your leadership development based on the UT leadership framework.
WAY OF WORKING
You follow the course with UT colleagues in similar leadership positions within the organization. This allows you to see dilemmas from different perspectives. Your active participation is required. We ask you to share your challenges and at times we will discuss personal matters. All this is done in a safe and confidential environment that we create together.
Several tools and frameworks will be presented and discussed. You will actively explore if and how these models apply to your situation and how they can help you understand your own context. Together with your peers, you will learn (new) skills which you will practice during the training You will try out these skills in your daily work life and reflect on them with other participants throughout and in between modules.
