Strategy & Policy department

The Strategy and Policy (S&P) department coordinates the formulation, design, monitoring, and evaluation of and adjustments to the strategy of the University of Twente. Our colleagues work on important projects such as Shaping 2030, our strategic programmes for research and education, important collaborations with other universities and financiers, and they keep track of important management data. We work for the faculties, the institutes and the Executive Board.

S&P consists of the following five clusters:

Policy Brief Signalling Outside-in
A new interpretation of our role to provide the UT with relevant information from the outside world. This is extra important in a world that is constantly changing and now that the circumstances of the UT are changing rapidly. In the period October 2023 to January 2024, we examined more than 140 observations and developments for their mutual coherence and trend relevance. In this first policy letter we have described the most important trends, including advice where the UT has perspectives for action.
