SRO Organs-on-Chips

The SRO Organs-on-Chips is a program at the MIRA Institute for Biomedical Technology and Technical Medicine of the University of Twente that aims to bring together researchers who are interested in organs-on-chips. The affiliated scientists are encouraged to share their vision on the topic of organs-on-chips, discuss the latest developments in the field, explore practical collaborations and participate in writing research proposals.

Strategic Research Orientations (SRO) are emerging scientific themes that cut across multiple research groups of the MIRA Institute at the University of Twente, The Netherlands. Each SRO is coordinated by a young investigator who has relevant experience with the theme of interest. By channeling the expertise of various departments towards a common application, an SRO promotes collaboration among MIRA scientists. The SRO Organs-on-Chips was started in 2015 and is coordinated by Andries van der Meer.
