E-learning specialists
The e-learning specialists are part of the faculty's EDU departments and design, develop and evaluate e-learning solutions. Their expertise is used to advise lecturers about the didactical and technical possibilities. They help staff through the process of thinking, developing, and implementing online solutions and collaborate with other UT educational and technical experts. Topics:
- E-Learning and Educational Solutions: We specialise in integrating e-learning and blended learning solutions into regular education, as well as using interactive tools on prerecorded lectures and live-stream events.
- Canvas Educational Design: The e-learning specialists provide advice on how to design or redesign Canvas courses to ensure simple navigation, create interactive solutions and increase students' engagement. For administrative Canvas assistance, you can email the faculty Canvas mailbox (see Outlook). For general questions about Canvas, please see the Canvas support page for teaching staff.
- Learning Spaces: The University of Twente offers a variety of facilities to make learning more engaging and fun. These include video studio's, interactive lecture rooms, and more. With these resources, students can explore different ways to engage with the material and develop their skills. We support you in using these facilities in your education.
- Digital Assessment: Digital assessment is a powerful tool that can be used to both summatively and formatively assess student progress. It can also be used to promote teamwork and peer feedback, allowing for collaboration and constructive criticism that can ultimately help students reach their learning objectives.
Experts at CELT
The educational consultants of the Centre of Expertise in Learning and Teaching (CELT), part of the CES Service Department, can support faculty and teaching staff in (re)designing modules, courses, or the entire curriculum. They can also participate in specific educational projects (small or big) or take the lead as project leaders. They are skilled instructional and curriculum designers by profession, driven by creativity. Some have permanent residence within the faculties. These educational faculty advisors have insight into the programmes, the organisational structure, and the culture of your faculty, which are readily at hand, so they are very approachable. They will ask their CELT colleagues with specific expertise to join when needed.
