Sending Internal Mail
Destinations
Internal mail is delivered on the UT campus and in the Capitool building. For the Friesland branch and other destinations, mail must be sent via external mail.
Submitting internal mail
- You can use UT envelopes for internal mail (available free of charge at the Central Mailroom).
- Other envelopes or packaging are also allowed.
- Submit internal mail at the Service Desk of your building; they will arrange further delivery.
Always include complete address details to avoid delays:
- Recipient’s name
- Building
- Faculty or service (if applicable)
- Date of sending
- Sender’s name and building
Guidelines for internal UT envelopes
- If all address fields have been used, take a new envelope.
- Do not use staples or tape to seal the envelope.
Delivery time
- Internal mail is collected from your building on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.
- The mail is delivered to the Service Desk of the respective building at the next delivery round.
- The Service Desk further sorts the mail into individual mailboxes.
Costs
- Sending internal mail is free of charge.
- UT internal envelopes are available free of charge.
