Support for educational developments

together towards better education.

Education is constantly evolving, from small adjustments to grand initiatives. The central service CES is here to support you with all your questions regarding educational development.

The Process and Design Team (CES-PDT) offers support for educational initiatives, utilizing existing tools, systems, and processes. CES-PDT helps you scale educational innovations and establish them at a central level. We can assist with all phases of the development cycle and beyond, with varying degrees of involvement.

You can also contact us for initiatives in the areas of Life Long Learning and Flexibility in Education. CES-PDT collaborates with the UT LLL program team to align on the needs that will later be supported through structural solutions and what services CES can provide in the meantime (using existing people, processes, and resources).

Do you have educational needs requiring support, such as questions about microcredentials or assistance in providing education to professionals? CES-PDT assists with a variety of challenges related to implementing process and system support in the short term.

  • How can CES-PDT help?

    You can come to us with the following questions and more:

    • I want to make adjustments to the current education program.
    • I need help now and can’t wait for a long-term solution.
    • We need educational support expertise to set up organizations, provide support, and tackle our challenges.
    • We want to make our existing support more efficient.
    • We want to offer our existing education more flexibly and make it accessible to professionals.

    CES-PDT is happy to collaborate with faculties, ensuring educational support solutions work within the capabilities of our current processes and systems. In our projects, we emphasize uniformity, sharing knowledge and experiences, and maintaining consistency in the provided services.

    In addition to creating support recommendations, CES-PDT also helps execute your support requests through CES development teams. Each development team comprises representatives from the entire CES support chain.

  • Successfully completed initiatives

    CES-PDT ensures proper coordination of teams and departments within CES to facilitate the technical and procedural setup for the following examples:

    • Changing a program name;
    • Adding a second track to an existing program;
    • Implementing mandatory participation in the study choice check;
    • Introducing an entirely new program.
  • Updates on initiatives

    Support for ECIU. UT has committed to a new 10-year ECIU. ECIU aims to promote knowledge exchange between institutions and serve as a platform to offer micromodules based on exchange to students from partner institutions.

    CES-PDT is in close contact with ECIU to enable student registration for micromodules and to organize the logistics for attending the offered education at UT or remotely. So far, 2 micromodules have been successfully offered and completed by 10 students!

    Microcredentials. CES-PDT is closely involved with the national microcredential pilot group and CES-CELT regarding the project progress on microcredentials. CES-PDT manages and has access to SURF's EduBadges platform and is part of the European pilot DC4EU, which aims to facilitate digital credit exchange within European institutions.

    We await a decision on the value of edubadges and microcredentials. CES-PDT is ready to issue edubadges and microcredentials. Faculties can apply for a pilot on course offerings.
