- Signal strength issues
It really depends on where you are located at the campus. Not all buildings/rooms have equal signal strength due to building restrictions (interference and building materials). When in doubt you can contact the ICT Service Desk at servicedesk-ict@utwente.nl or by telephone at (+31 53 489) 5577.
- Eduroam for guests
UT guest account (x account)
In order to connect to the eduroam network regularly a valid UT account is required. UT employees can request a x-account for externals.
If you are living on the campus you can also request a x-account. For this request an email can be sent to servicedesk-ict@utwente.nl. Please include your name, address and as attachments a scan of the rental contact and proof of payment (screenshot of the last payment for rent). Once everything has been validated by the ICT Service Desk a x-account will be created.
You will receive an email with account information and how to set a password. After setting your password you can connect to eduroam using the username x.......@utwente.nl and your password.
