Keuzegids Universiteiten: Five top-rated programmes for UT

Five bachelor's programmes at the University of Twente (UT) have been awarded the Top-rated Programme designation in the latest edition of the Keuzegids Universiteiten. This designation is a recognition for programmes that score exceptionally well in the national study comparison guide, which was published today.

The following UT programmes have received the Top-rated Programme distinction:

  • Management, Society & Technology (80 out of 100 points)
  • Applied Physics (79 points)
  • Chemical Science & Engineering (78 points)
  • Communication Science (76 points)
  • Creative Technology (75 points), offered in collaboration with VU Amsterdam.

All programmes scoring 75 points or higher are designated as Top-rated Programmes. For three out of the five UT programmes, this distinction is new; Applied Physics and Chemical Science & Engineering also received this recognition last year.

The Keuzegids Universiteiten annually compares all bachelor's programmes offered by Dutch universities. The scores are largely determined based on results from the National Student Survey (Nationale Studenten Enquête). This nationwide survey serves as an important benchmark for programmes and is used to drive educational improvements, in close cooperation with students and study associations.

Fourth place nationally

On average, UT's programmes achieved a score of 63 points this year, half a point lower than last year. This result places the UT in fourth position among all Dutch universities. Wageningen University & Research (WUR) and the Open Universiteit top the rankings, followed by Utrecht University in third place.
