World record attempt: Civil Engineering students build largest beer crate bridge

The committee CraTeX2022 from study association ConcepT (Bachelor and Master Civil Engineering) is going to try and beat the world record of the longest (beer) crate bridge of study association KOers in Eindhoven. “The current record is set at 26,69 meter and we are trying to bring the record to Enschede by building a bridge of 36 meters.”

The students cannot do this alone. With the help of various sponsors and a building crew of 40 students, from different study periods(1st, 2nd, 3rd year bachelor and master students) from all across the globe, we are building this colossal project of 12.600 crates and attempting the world record at the 12th of March”, says student Jaime de Bruin. “This project is a nice way for the students to experience the practical side of the study and an example of student activism where we are proud of in Twente.”
