“The TechMed Event pays a lot of attention to practical application: how medical innovation from the collaboration between technicians and clinicians can be deployed more quickly. Developing a business case is a common thread through the program. And there are many opportunities for networking (pitch the crowd sessions, Innovation tours, matchmaking meetings and more) to find potential new partners,” says World Trade Center Twente CEO Freerk Faber.
The event will feature lots of inspiring keynotes and presentations. In his keynote, Prof. dr. ir. David Fernandez Rivas (University of Twente) will talk about the future of needle-free drug delivery. Representing the companies Medtronic and Siemens Healthineers, Henk Westendorp and Dr Rebecca Ramb will shed more light on some of their breakthrough innovations, which will be coming to market in the next few years, during the innovation-meets-industry session. Dr Nimmi Ramanujam (Duke University Center) will discuss the need for innovations in the field of women’s health, while Prof. Jean-Paul de Vries (UMC Groningen) will use his keynote to explain why technology should be seen as an integral part of healthcare.
This will be followed by an elective programme, with four speciality sessions, on vascular diseases, neurological diseases, movement disorders and oncological image-guided interventions, with inspiring presentations on both state-of-the-art and future MedTech innovations. Participants can join the discussion on how the collaboration between clinical, scientific and industrial research can lead to medical innovations that improve the patient’s journey. Finally, special envoy Prince Constantijn, startup ambassador at Techleap, will moderate a fireside chat about the importance of successfully bringing MedTech innovations to market.
We hope that you’ll be able to join us for this hybrid event, whether it’s in person or online. If you plan to attend the TechMed Event, secure a spot by filling in the registration form.
