COMPUTER SCIENCE-GRADUATE DJURRE VAN DER WAL WINS BEST KHMW INTERNET THESIS AWARD ON INTERNET AND TECHNICAL SCIENCES

Thursday 1 November 2018, KHMW (Koninklijke Hollandsche Maatschappij der Wetenschappen) will host an event on Internet and the Constitutional State. During this event, Inge Phillips (director Cyber Risk Services team Deloitte) and Bibi van der Berg (professor Cybersecurity Governance University Leiden) will cover topics such as how the constitutional state looks like in relation to cyberspace, which vulnerabilities arise and to what extent governments, companies and citizens are aware of them. Furthermore, on this event a total of four awards will be handed to the best internet thesis on legal, economical, technical, and societal aspects.

The winner of the internet and technical aspects is Computer Science-graduate Djurre van der Wal! On this day, Djurre will shortly present his thesis and he will be rewarded with this year’s prize.

The meeting will take place at Leiden University College The Hague, Anna van Buerenplein 301, 2595 DG in The Hague (near Central Station The Hague).
