Better diagnosis and treatment

The Surgical Robotics Labaratory (SRL) aims to develop new, minimally invasive surgical technologies. Needle steering is one aspect of their research. Steering needles with the assistance of robots allows greatly improved targeting accuracy in hard to reach areas of the human body. This offers all kinds of possibilities for better diagnosis and treatment of patients.
