After restyling the Kuil, ‘the Cube’ learning and resource centre on floor 2, and the public spaces in Cubicus, the entrance to Cubicus is about to be revamped as well. The Service Desk is getting a new and more open look and is moving to a different location.
The image of the Service Desk will be modernised and, moreover, will reflect the look of the other service desks at the UT. Refurbishment started Friday 25 November and will take until around 21 December 2016. In this period, people might experience some (noise) nuisance.
TEMPORARY MODIFICATIONS TO THE MAIN ENTRANCE
The main entrance of Cubicus will not be accessible from Friday afternoon 25 November up to and including 9 December. The rear entrance, at car park P2, will temporarily function as main entrance to Cubicus. From the front of the building, a detour has been set up leading to the back of the building. It will still be possible to park your car and/or bicycle at the front. Additional bicycle parking has been provided at the rear (temporary main entrance).
CONSTRUCTION ZONE
The entry at the main entrance will be a construction zone during the refurbishment. This means that screens will be placed and the corridors sealed off. From Friday afternoon 25 November up to and including 2 December a detour will be in place via floor 2 (see floorplan).
CURRENT SERVICE DESK TO BE MOVED
The Service Desk will be temporarily moved to college hall B103. Routing to the Service Desk will be indicated.
NEW FURNITURE ON FLOOR 3
In the same period, work will be done on ‘the bridge’ on floor 3. The old PC stations will be overhauled and receive new furniture (see impression below). During the work, ‘the bridge’ will be temporarily inaccessible. The diversion will run via floor 2.
