At the end of last year, a ballot was held on the new tender for hot drink vending machines. During the procurement process, one aspect occupied centre stage: the opinion (taste) of the UT staff and students. Because, let's be honest: it's only coffee, but.. it is coffee!
This approach is a little unconventional in the procurement world. Normally speaking, selections are mainly based on fairly abstract criteria. This approach has created quite a stir. The Facility Department insists that it is the taste of UT staff and students that should determine the choice of a supplier of hot drink vending machines on campus. The new machines will be installed in the summer.
Make a note in your agenda: taste test 7 - 10 April.
From 12.00 on Tuesday, 7 April to 12.00 on Friday, 10 April you will again have the opportunity to come and taste on the O&O square and of course to vote for a new supplier. It is your vote that counts!
