Talents on TEDxTwenteU 2016

The third edition of TEDxTwenteU will take place on April 28 on the campus of the University of Twente. Fourteen speakers will tell the story of their life in a talk of up to 18 minutes around the theme ‘Breaking Barriers’. More than half of them is related to the University of Twente.

Maarten van Poppelen for instance (student mechanical engineering) will talk about building a solar car on behalf of Solar Team Twente. He will show that a group of relatively unexperienced students can achieve a lot. Juan Manuel Jauregui Becker, assistant professor at the University of Twente, will take the audience on a journey to Mexico and Columbia. He breaks barriers in those countries by helping the local population in product development. UT-alumnus Wil Konings will inspire the audience by providing ideas to improve health care in the Netherlands.

The x means that the event is independently organized and states that the event is a small version of TED of only one day. TEDxTwenteU is full organized by students of the University of Twenwte, which is unique.
