False alarm after possible unsafe situation at UT campus

As a result of a notification of a possible unsafe situation, a number of buildings at the campus of the University of Twente have been cleared on Wednesday evening: Hal B, Carré, Waaier, Zilverling and Nanolab. The police investigated the situation and as a precaution, a bomb squad was present at the location.

After extensive research, it appeared to be false alarm. The notification of a possible threat was the result of equipment as part of a student project.

All in all, there was never an actual unsafe situation.
