After completing the Master’s in Psychology with a specialisation in Educational Psychology, you can look forward to a variety of job prospects. You might become an educational consultant, instructional designer, or researcher, to name a few of your options. You could also continue with a PhD, or even start up your own business.
TYPE OF DEGREE
When you have completed this Master's with the specialisation in Educational Psychology, you will receive a Master’s degree in Psychology along with the title Master of Science (MSc.). Your specialisation will be mentioned specifically on your diploma supplement, highlighting your specialised knowledge and skills in educational psychology.
JOB OPPORTUNITIES
The great advantage of having a Master’s degree in Psychology with a specialisation in Educational Psychology is your in-depth understanding of psychological processes and knowledge of specific target groups and specific contexts, which will make you stand out in the job market compared to other educational scientists.
In your future job, you could get involved in designing learning materials, developing training programmes, consulting schools and organisations about educational matters or performing research aimed to enhance knowledge and improve educational designs. You could start a career within various organisations, either within the profit or non-profit sector. Consultancy agencies, educational publishers, (educational) software developers, research institutes, schools or other educational institutes are eager to onboard people with your expertise. You might also work within corporate companies, focusing on employee training programmes, as some of our former students did as well. Some graduates even went on to become teachers within higher education.
Let's talk about your career
To give you an idea of your future job, student Vivian with a specialisation in Educational Psychology is visiting alumna Apoorva, who works as an Educational Developer at TU Eindhoven.
