Career prospects

Given the international ambitions of many Dutch and global organizations, there are strong career perspectives for International Management & Consultancy alumni, especially those who wish to go abroad. Specializing in International Management & Consultancy within the Master's programme Business Administration will offer you a broad range of career prospects. As an expert in helping businesses operate across borders – whether in changing operations, leading people of various cultural backgrounds, reaching new markets, sourcing, or acquiring new companies – you will be able to make a difference to businesses and society in many different kinds of jobs. Businesses today urgently need people with international ambitions, who do not shy away from traveling abroad and operating cross-culturally. This track will prepare you for answering that need. Graduates start out in a wide variety of international management or consultancy functions, ranging from (international) management traineeships at multinationals or Dutch (consulting) companies starting to internationalize, junior consultant positions at medium to large-sized management consultancy firms, to working as a business strategy developer at a born global – or anything in between. Examples of positions our recent graduates took on are:

  • (Lean) Management Consultant at Altran
  • Global Trade Marketing Community Lead at Heineken International
  • Management Consultant in various companies, including: Gillette in Geneva, ING Bank in Hong Kong, and Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube Group in Singapore
  • Traineeships in various companies, including ABN Amro in Singapore
  • Associate Director at Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Europe
