Software Carpentry Workshop
Software Carpentry workshops are organized at the University of Twente by 4TU.ResearchData in collaboration with UT Library, the Data Stewards, and the UT Digital Competence Centre (DCC).
A Software Carpentry is a hands-on, four-half-day on campus workshop that covers the core basic skills needed to work with reproducible code.
The workshop covers task automation with Unix shell, version control with Git, basic concepts of data management, and an introduction to Python programming. This is an introductory course aimed at researchers who have little to no prior programming experience.

· Day 3, 9:00 – 14:00 Python
· Day 4, 9:00 – 14:00 Version Control with GIT
Note: It is mandatory to attend all 4 trainings.

The course is offered twice a year in May and November. It consists of a serie of 4 day trainings. It is mandatory to attend all 4 of the trainings.
The next one in 2024 will be Monday November 11th up to and including Thursday November 14th, 2024.
