Editing for Academic Tone - Part one

Updated workshop!

This workshop (Part 1) has been updated to include basic knowledge required for Part 2: Editing with Large Language Models.

  • You must attend part 1 if you want to attend part 2.
  • You can attend part 1 without attending part 2.

RESULT

Do you want to take your English-language academic writing to the next level by learning tips and tricks for editing the tone of your writing? In this workshop you will practice editing real texts (including your own) following guidance from the teacher and discussion with peers.

We look at the principles of editing and how to edit manually, using your own writing as practice.

You will leave this course with an improved version of your own text, and knowledge of how to replicate editing techniques outside the classroom, making this stage of the writing process less stressful.
