Course content and goals
This course is designed to help learners improve their clarity, accuracy, and confidence in spoken English. Through focused practice on vowel and consonant sounds, word stress, sentence rhythm, and intonation, you will develop a more natural and intelligible pronunciation. The course includes interactive exercises, listening activities, and real-life communication practice to enhance fluency. This course provides personalised feedback and practical strategies to refine pronunciation for everyday and professional communication.
This 1:1 Pronunciation Training (PT) consists of 6 online lessons of 1 hour each. This PT will help you to express yourself better, speak more fluently and more efficiently when:
- communicating with your supervisors, students, and colleagues;
- delivering presentations on your research;
- engaging in discussions related to your topic;
- participating in meetings; and
- interacting socially in everyday life outside of the campus.
Initial assessment
In order to evaluate your specific needs you will do a 20 minute intake session with your teacher.

Doing engaging, tailor-made self-study activities (approx. 2 hours per week) will bring you closer to achieving your own individual pronunciation goals.
