The information on this page applies to computers that the UT ICT department does not manage.
Therefore, the information below is written for
- Student laptops
- Employee computers where you do not log in with your UT account (e.g. your private computer)
Microsoft office
Microsoft Office 365 (incl Microsoft Teams and OneDrive) is available for students. The licence can be verified by using your UT account to activate the product. You can download the application(s) or use the web version on office.com. Good to know: since Outlook is part of the Microsoft Office package, your student webmail in Outlook is also available on office.com.
study software
Other software for students and employees that is used in several study programmes (SPSS, Wolfram Mathematica, van Dale etc) is available for download at the Service Desk ICT. License information is included. Some applications only work when connected to the UT network (on campus or using VPN from home). For MATLAB, Simulink, and companion products, a separate page provides detailed information.
If the software you are looking for is not available at the Service Desk ICT, please check your study programme/research group/teacher for specific licences provided by the study programme.
Buy at Surfspot
If the UT does not have a licence for the software you are looking for, you may buy it on Surfspot.nl. Surfspot offers discounted licences for educational institutions for frequently used software for Windows and Mac, such as Adobe (Photoshop and more).
