Presentations

PowerPoint templates to customise

To ensure a consistent brand identity, basic PowerPoint templates are available in both corporate and institute styles. These templates are available exclusively to logged-in UT staff and come in white, black, and dark grey variants.
Slides can be inserted into your presentation by selecting 'New Slide'.
Each download includes a Read Me file and instructions on how to use the template.

Corporate presentation

The University of Twente’s corporate presentation is a solid starting point for any talk you’re giving to an external group. You can either use the full basic version or pick and choose from extra slides – think organisational structure, student teams, our campus, alumni facts and more.

Presentation support

Preparing a presentation for a subsidy application or another important moment? A strong presentation can really boost your chances of success. In this section, you’ll find practical tips, clear instructions and useful links to help you build a convincing story.

  • Use the official PowerPoint templates (see Downloads at the top of this page).
You can find visual materials in the MC/UToday image repository: beeldbank-mc.utwente.nl.
All UT staff members can log in to access the internal photo database.
To download high-resolution images, add them to your shopping basket and place a digital ‘order’.

Contact Traffic if you want to get in touch with a professional (paid) graphic designer who can help you with your presentation.

    • Choose a clear storyline with a clearly defined beginning, middle and end.
    • Tailor your presentation to the target group (not one-size-fits-all), also consider tone-of-voice, style, etc.
    • Use related images that are suitable for the target group (images are more appealing than text).
    • Use practical examples that the target group can relate to.
    • Practice delivering your presentation in advance and ask for feedback.
    • Ensure ‘it’ is polished: your presentation (house style/template) and yourself.
    • Engage with your audience within the first minute.
    • Ensure variation: tell and ask, play with emotions and speed, go a little faster and a little slower at times.
    • Organise breaks during long presentations.
  • The Communications Department is happy to provide input in respect of developing the message and identifying the information needs of the target groups. Contact the communications advisor for your unit for support.
