The image bank is where the University of Twente stores and manages current photos, making them available for use within the UT community. UT staff can download photos from the image bank after logging in.
How to/manuals
The manuals on how to use the image bank are currently not available, but will be added soon.
Rights and roles
The image bank includes different categories and photo owners, such as:
Marketing & Communication | U-Today | Pre-U | DesignLab | Student Union | VU-UT
The system has different user roles, depending on the tasks someone needs to perform:
- File creation – Set up a dossier with metadata and a quitclaim form. This role also includes the right to add photos to the dossier.
- Uploader – Upload images to an existing dossier, but can’t create a new one.
- Downloader – Download full-size images directly, without needing approval from the central admin team.
- External users – Log in with an x-account and request images using the shopping cart feature. They don’t have direct download rights.
UT staff can request x-accounts for people outside the university. For more info, visit utwente.nl/account. Once the IT department has created the x-account, you can request rights for the photographer using the button below.
Historical image bank
UT also has a separate public image bank for historical photos. You can download low-resolution images directly from the site. If you need the original high-quality versions, just fill in the historical images request form.
