Personal media plan for researchers

For researchers aspiring to be thought leaders, who want to create awareness, influence public perception and/or position themselves as an authority in their scientific field.

Which story inspires the public and has an impact that raises your profile and reputation? How can you build a press network that will regard you as the authority in your field?

Find the answers to these questions through a personal media plan that will help you to raise your profile for an external audience. Together with the MC department, you can discover what opportunities are available to present your story and news to the media. Which media can help you in getting your scientific achievement or story noticed by industry, business or the general public? Do you need extra training in talking to the press or fine-tuning your story to engage or attract the media?

How to start?

The best way to start raising your profile is by participating in the Personal Branding course offered by the Centre for Training and Development. Have you already participated and/or do you want to start making a personal media plan? Please contact Hinke Mulder of Marketing & Communication.
