Digital tool finder

Software applications have become integral to UT education, from learning management systems and digital assessment tools to collaboration platforms and content creation tools. But like any technology, their value lies not in their features alone, but in how they are used to support learning. The impact of a digital tool on learning depends entirely on how it’s designed and how it's designed into educational experiences. That's why educational design is the foundation for ensuring that technology supports pedagogy rather than driving it.

How to navigate on this page?
This page provides an overview of different digital tools and services for learning and teaching* that are available for educators at UT, handpicked by educational specialists from CELT and TELT. You can use the search bar or select a category at the top of this page to filter the tools. You can select different viewing options: list, grid or summary. Please note that when clicking on a tool, you might be redirected to a page outside the Learning & Teaching Portal.

What about privacy & security?
Please consider your students’ and your own privacy before you use digital tools. The UT has data processing agreements with providers of several digital tools (including those listed on this website). If a digital tool has not been assessed or approved by UT, which is the case with many free online tools, you should be aware of the risks involved and take measures to prevent unwanted legal consequences (for more info, review the UT policy on the Use of Personal Applications). When in doubt, you may contact your unit's privacy contact person, the LISA contract management team (contractmanagement-lisa@utwente.nl), or you may visit the Cyber Safety website to learn more.
