Getting started - How to log in

On the login page, three methods for login are available:

  1. Using the UT email address: Simply fill in your email address in the field, after filling in a button appears: "Log in with University of Twente". Click on this button to proceed to the normal UT authentication procedures.
  2. Using the Microsoft login: Wooclap supports the UT login. Click on this button to proceed to the normal UT authentication procedures.
  3. Using the Institution name: You can log in by typing "Twente" in the "your institution" field under Log in with your institution. The search result is shown and simply click on "Go to login screen" to proceed.

Integrate WooClap with PowerPoint

Wooclap works together with PowerPoint. This enables you to add quizzes to your PowerPoint presentation without opening a separate tool. It's possible to add the PowerPoint to the Wooclap-website or add Wooclap quizzes to your Powerpoint using an add-in.

More information can be found on the WooClap help pages.

Important notice for Office 365: the add-in button has been moved to the home lint of MS Office.

FAQ

Below is a list of the most frequently asked questions. The Wooclap support page has more information

  • I can't log in to Wooclap.

Wooclap is linked to your Utwente account. Select one of the three methods mentioned before.

  • I want to work with a colleague on an event.

In Wooclap it's possible to collaborate on one event. Please follow this link to understand the basics.
Note: it's important that all collaborating users have at least logged in in wooclap once before, in order to be able to select the name from the list. if the system states that the colleague is not part of the university it normally means that he has not yet logged in once.

  • The Wooclap Powerpoint add-in is not working

One of the benefits of Wooclap is the integration with Powerpoint. Just by adding the Wooclap add-in, you are able to add questions to your Powerpoint presentation.

This add-in functions with Office 365 only!

If you have issues with the add-in, please check if you run Office 365 in the first place. Then, check if this occurs on other laptops with the same event and Powerpoint.
Also please check if you are logged in with your UT account and email address, as this is needed for allowing the add-in to run.

Finally: sometimes the issue is related to the Office 365 version. Check if you have the latest version installed. And also please check if you have allowed 3th party apps to be added. (under file-> account -> manage settings -> turn on optional connected experiences.)

Please contact us via voting@utwente.nl if the problems persist.

  • I created a personal (non-UT) account and want to link it to the main UT account.

This can happen, the admin team can add your account to the UT account. Please send an email with the email address to voting@utwente.nl and the team will link it. This way you have more options in WooClap.

Wooclap has a comprehensive FAQ on its own site and is constantly improving the system. If you have further questions, you can contact us via (teachingtools-ces@utwente.nl
