- Library registration & accountTo make use of the full range of the University Library services as a University of Twente staff member or student, make sure you register and/or login to your personal account (direct access) in FindUT. If you are not a UT staff member or student, you can obtain a library card at the University Library Service Desk or by filling in the application form online in advance after which you’ll receive an email with more information on the card and when it is ready for pick up. Alumni Alumni can obtain a UT library card for free at the University Library service desk Alumni can borrow up to 15 books With the temporary day account alumni have online access to literature within the IP-range of the University of Twente / when on campus In addition, access to the JSTOR database is possible via the alumni portal. - Library service chargesBelow you will find the charges for various services offered by the University Library. Please be aware that instructions regarding these services can be found elsewhere on the University Library website. For the services listed here only debit card payments are accepted. Access to the University Library Students and staff UT: free (student or employee card is also your library card) Visitors: € 15 (rates may differ for businesses or institutions) Saxion students: € 3 TPC Navitas students, UT Alumni, UT former staff, Saxion staff, students of other Dutch universities: free You can apply for a Library Card using this online form. The Library Card will be created within a few working days and can be collected at the Library Service Desk on the second floor of the Vrijhof. - Study facilitiesAt the University Library Vrijhof location lots of materials are available to help UT students and staff study or work (together) more comfortably. You need to hand in your University of Twente student/staff card or library card for the duration of the use. Available items include (noise cancelling) headphones, USB-C hubs, HDMI cables, and USB-C cables. Also two portable beamers can be borrowed as well as remote controls for the LCD screens in the project rooms. Keyboards and computer mice are available. 5 Chromebooks can be borrowed for one-day-use within the library. Consult the information below to learn more about the University Library study facilities.
