Photographers

I’m working for more than 34 years as an independent allround freelance photojournalist. Based in Ambt Delden and also based in Scheveningen. I do capture national and local news, sports, reportages and portraits for newspapers (NRC Handelsblad) AD, Press agency ANP, magazines. I use that same journalistic approach for a wide range of markets like business magazines, governments, educational institutions. and commercial photography. For some faculties at the University of Twente I am the "house photographer" for years now. The University is a sparkling environment with inspiring people; A creative world to work in for me as a photographer. It is great to be involved thinking about possibilities and solutions about images, their impact and imagery. I fly drones since 2011 and I have my Specific licence.

My aim is to transform everyday situations into iconic images. You can contact me if you need a portrait photographer. My approach is in a natural and casual way, leaving room for improvisation and spontaneity. Because of my enthusiasm you are assured of a nice experience with a great photo as a result. Mainly I am a people photographer. I prefer to shoot with daylight combined with flash. For two decades I have been a successful photographer and I work both on location and in my studio in Enschede.

As a photographer, I am always looking for a special angle for subjects I photograph. I try to capture that one distinctive moment in an image. I make easily contact and look closely at details. My work mainly involves magazines, newspapers, educational institutions, governments and companies. I like to think along with your photograph so that we can achieve a good and beautiful result together. Portrait photography is one of my specialties, these photos can also be taken in my photo studio. Because of my journalistic background, I like to tell stories through photography. Fokke Eenhoorn: make something special out of every photo. "I have enjoyed working for the UT for 4 years now. With 'people on location' as the specialty, my work comes into its own here. And it is very nice to meet all those different people, from professors to students. you can call on me for both portraits and reports. Making something special out of every photo, that is my goal.”

StudioKLAES a.k.a. Klaas-Jelmer Sixma: "I became addicted to photography when I was 18 during a backpacking trip through Australia." My great passion is artistic portrait photography. I like powerful work and I think it's cool to create an image with lighting, color and expression that you want to keep looking at. I put people at ease, you can see that in my work. I also feel very comfortable photographing events and conferences and portraying speakers (promotions and inaugural lectures). I have my own studio of more than 1000 m2 where, in addition to portrait photography, I also provide product photography for various suppliers.

Although I have a journalistic background, images with movement, in which something happens, it is mainly portraits that I make at the University of Twente. Preferably portraits of people in their own environment, in their field. Furthermore, especially symposia, flyers and folders, graduation ceremonies, farewell receptions, promotions and of course the work for UToday. In general I walk around here with a smile and I have a positive attitude where I like to make the image the way I have it in mind. And I like to do my best for that.

My name is Elroy van Sloten father of 3 children and happily married. Besides being a photographer during promotions and inaugural lectures for 11 years, my father-in-law, wife and I run a photo shop and hair salon in Enschede. Photo Charles Kuiper has been around for 35 years and is now a household name in Enschede. In everyday life people know me as an energetic person.
