CREATE AN ACCOUNT IN STUDIELINK WITHOUT DIGID
If you want to apply for a programme at UT, you need to have a Studielink account. Studielink is the national hub for enrolment in higher education. If you have an official home address in the Netherlands, you must create an account in Studielink by logging in with your DigiD. If you do not have a DigiD and can't apply for one, you can read below what steps you need to take.
Your personal details have to be verified If you do not have a DigiD, your identity will need to be verified in another way in order to create an account in Studielink. To this end, your passport or European identity card will be verified. To do so, you have to upload a scan or photo of your passport or European identity card in Studielink. This can either be your current valid passport or European identity card, but it can also be an expired one. Eventually, you will need a valid passport or European identity card. The legitimacy and completeness of your documents will then be verified. If the verification process is complete, you have completed the process and you can create an account in Studielink. If you are unable to make a scan or photo, please contact your issue to Studielink.
If do not have a passport or European identity card
If you do not have a passport or European identity card, you need to apply for one with your local government authority. If you are unable to apply for a passport or European identity card, please contact Student Services of UT. Eventually, you will need a passport or European identity card in order to complete your application.
Why do I have to upload my passport or European identity card? By submitting a copy or your passport or European identity card, Studielink can ensure that you only have to submit a copy of your personal documents once. Your identity is then verified for all institutions of higher education to which you may want to apply. You do not have to submit a copy of your passport or European identity card to each institution separately. Moreover, this verification ensures a safer enrolment process: Studielink knows a valid passport or European identity card is provided and that you are a real person. This will help Studielink counter abuse of the service with fake accounts.
Do you want to know more about the verification process? If you want to know more about the personal details verification process, you can check the Studielink website. Studielink set up different step-by-step plans and a Studielink Q&A.

I applied for a programme. What now?
Bachelor's applicants with an EEA nationality If you are a student with an EEA1 nationality you will, starting from late May, receive an email from Registration Office with information about enrolment and paying your tuition fees. You will receive this information on the mail account you have entered in Studielink.
Bachelor's applicants with a non-EEA nationality If you are a student with a non-EEA1 nationality you will receive an email around June from Registration Office with information about enrolment. You will receive this information on the mail account you have entered in Studielink.
After completing your online application the university will assess your application. If you have submitted your application correctly the admission procedure will be started. It will be evaluated by our Admission Office as well as by the university’s Educational Admission Committee of your chosen (pre-)master's programme. Admission Office will send the decision by email.
How do I know if I am enrolled?
You are enrolled when you have received a confirmation email of enrolment and your status in Studielink has changed from <request for registration submitted> to <enrolled>. This is possible the moment you have received your account details from ICT by email, you will receive this from June in your private email.
Where can I find my declaration of enrolment?
Once you have received a confirmation email of registration, you can download, save or print a preprinted declaration of enrolment through OSIRIS Student. If this declaration is not sufficient, you can request an official declaration of enrolment at Student Services.
How do I get my log-in details for my student account?
After we have received your application for a programme, you will receive an email from ICTS about your login details and student account. You will receive this information on the mail account you have entered in Studielink. The subject of this email will be Your personal account information.
With the login details, you can make use of the online services of the University of Twente.
It’s important to check the email from this account frequently because the registration office uses this account for communication about all information. If you prefer to make use of your own email account, please see to it that you forward the mail of the UT account to your own account.
Please make sure your Studielink email address is not your UT student email! Check the status of your enrolment regularly at Studielink and your UT account!
