As an Human Media Interaction graduate, you can look forward to excellent career prospects in commercial and research organizations. You will be able to:
- deal with algorithms and technology that make interaction possible (e.g. speech and language processing);
- design computer interaction with the human user in mind (human factors, user centred design, ergonomics);
- evaluate interaction with reference to usability and user experience.
Your multidisciplinary perspective will make you a valuable partner in settings where a range of aspects (users, social aspects, media technologies) come together. You will shape your own future in line with your own personal interests, whether you’d like to be a researcher or an engineer.
Usability engineering, interface and interaction design are just some of the professions associated with this programme. You will have no trouble finding a job in a variety of sectors such as e-learning, web development, and gaming/entertainment. Think of companies like: Nedap, Philips, TNO, Accenture and Topicus. The jobs open to you include: interaction or user experience designer, interactive systems engineer, human factors expert, usability engineer, business developer, product manager or consultant.
