Students with a Bachelor's Degree from a university of applied sciences (HBO) often do not directly fulfil all the admission requirements. In order to start a master's, you might need to do a pre-master's to bring your knowledge up to the required level.

Candidates with a bachelor's in the following fields can be admitted directly:

  • Engineering Sciences
  • Technical Sciences
  • Natural Sciences (chemistry, physics, geology, biology, ecology, etc.)
  • Environmental Studies
  • Agricultural/Forestry Management
  • Earth Sciences
  • Natural Resources Management
  • Environmental Health Sciences
  • Business Administration/Commerce
  • Policy Studies/Political Science
  • Economics
  • Law
  • Management/Accounting Sciences
  • Public Management
  • Public Health
  • Planning Sciences

If you have completed another HBO programme, you can also apply for admission. In that case, the admission committee will conduct an individual assessment procedure to determine if you have sufficient basic qualifications in Environmental & Energy Management.

You can start the pre-master's during or after your bachelor's degree. The application procedure and deadlines depend on the study route of your choice.
