If you have, or are in the process of getting, a Bachelor’s degree at a Dutch research university other than the University of Twente and you wish to apply for one of our Master’s programmes, there are two possibilities. You may be allowed to transfer directly to the Master’s programme of your choice. Alternatively, you may be required to take a pre-Master’s programme; the Admission Committee will let you know which option applies to you at the end of the application procedure.
Before starting the application procedure you should always check the application deadlines. Some of our programmes have deviant application deadlines. Check the deviating deadlines for Dutch students and deviating deadlines for international students.
Your Bachelor’s degree will not always directly qualify you for admission to the Master’s programme of your choice. In order to gain and/or improve the knowledge and skills you need to start your Master’s programme, you may have to follow an additional pre-Master’s programme, which you have to pass in order to proceed to the Master’s programme. Pre-Master’s programmes are personalized and may vary in study load, up to 30EC. For non-technical programmes Mathematics B on a vwo level (e.g. Boswell Bèta) or equivalent may be one of the requirements to enter the pre-Master's programme.
NOT FINISHED YET WITH YOUR BACHELOR'S DEGREE?
If you have yet to complete your Bachelor’s programme, you can still apply for admission to a Master’s programme at the University of Twente. You may be granted a conditional acceptance based on your transcripts, detailed curriculum information, relevant research and expected graduation date. However, you must submit your Bachelor’s degree before you can enter the Master’s programme. Please bear in mind that applying for admission and enrolling are two separate procedures: you cannot enrol until you have been given a positive admission decision.
All transfer options for students with a Bachelor’s degree from Eindhoven University of Technology or Delft University of Technology can be found in the transfer matrices.
