Still need to graduate?
Even if you have not yet graduated, you can still apply at any time. However, you need to graduate before the start of the academic year.
Application Deadlines
The application deadline is based on nationality. Your current nationality is leading, even if you have a Dutch or European residence permit. For example: if you have a Mexican nationality and hold a Dutch residence permit, your nationality is Mexican (not Dutch). As your residence permit needs to be verified, if it is valid to study at the University of Twente. Or that the University of Twente needs to request a new study visa on your behalf. Check the Dutch government website whether you have an EEA or visa nationality.
Please note that your application will only be reviewed if requested documents are uploaded and submitted before the application deadline. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. For example, if you do not have an English language test yet, your application will not be reviewed.

February or September intake?
All (pre-)master's have an intake of 1 September, which means the academic year starts on 1 September. Your first day of class is often on another day. For some (pre-)master's - and also for specialisations within the master's - you can start in February. Check the website of the master's of your interest whether the pre-master’s or master's specialisation starts in September and/or in February.
If you miss the deadline, you have to wait for the next intake period.
Do I have to sign up for a pre-master's?
There's no need to apply for a pre-master's. You always enrol for the master's of your choice. Following your application, UT will assess it and let you know if you need to follow a pre-master first. After you have successfully completed the pre-master’s, i.e. obtained sufficient ECTS, you can continue with the master’s.
