Together with organisations and companies outside the University of Twente, students, Research Fellows, DesignLab researchers, the DreamTeam and staff, we've proven that combining disciplines results in impactful solutions. Challenges trigger to develop new but responsible concepts. Sometimes online, sometimes in a hybrid way. And as Citizen Science is growing fast, relevant data is growing too.
As we are counting down the days, here's a nice overview of everything that happened this year, in which DesignLab participated or had a significant role.

Sensoree received a Responsible Design grant for project 'To Give the Body a Voice'. Development of new tools for expression, in collab with caregivers and clients at De Parabool in Deventer (NL).
Despite these uncertain times, DDW2020 carried on: Live at the studio, with an online magazine and livestreams. UT collaborated with the Dutch tech universities (Design United).
Together with BMSLab and TOPFIT CitizenLab, DesignLab executed and coordinated the usability and ethical tests of CoronaMelder. Citizens in Twente were highly involved.
The UT Challenge offers students to further develop their ideas, prototypes and projects into business plans, products and start ups. This year, DL supported, judged and participated!

On May 15th, the first graduates of DesignLab's transdisciplinary Master-Insert programme 'Shaping Responsible Futures' were put in the well-deserved spotlight virtually.
DesignLab donated one thousand special clips to the Enschede hospital MST, to reduce the physical burden of wearing mouth masks for doctors and nurses.
