NWO Collaboration with knowledge users and society

Under this funding line NWO funds projects or programmes for thematic research and valorisation in partnership with external public and/or private parties. These projects or programmes are designed to increase and accelerate the economic or social impact of the research.

Knowledge and Innovation Covenant | NWO
These calls support interdisciplinary consortia to tackle mission-oriented challenges as defined in the Dutch government's mission-driven top sectors and innovation policy. They explicitly require the involvement of societal and private partners.
NWA Thematic Programming
This line fosters research aligned with pressing societal questions. Projects must demonstrate clear strategies for knowledge exchange and societal engagement, often co-developing the project with relevant stakeholders from the outset.
National Growth Fund
The Dutch National Growth Fund invests in projects that drive long-term economic growth, focusing on innovation, education, and technology. It funds large-scale initiatives to strengthen the Netherlands’ future prosperity.
