University College Twente provides the bachelor’s programme in Technology and Liberal Arts & Sciences. ATLAS for short.
This is a unique honours programme for talented people, bringing technology and society together. Our unique approach to engineering education is aimed at raising a new and different kind of engineer and global citizen.
Why we added technology
Traditionally, engineering (or technology) is not part of Liberal Arts & Sciences curricula. At University College Twente we firmly believe it should be. In order to understand today’s world, you have to understand technology. And solving today’s problems means you have to have design skills. Therefore, the ATLAS programme focuses on science, mathematics, engineering and social sciences. Read more about what makes ATLAS unique.
During ATLAS you will design your own programme. In your first year you will follow courses to form a solid base in mathematics, physics and social sciences. In the second and third years you will pick courses that match your interests. There are no fixed programmes. Read more about the curriculum.
The programme guides you in shaping your own future. With your degree, you will be able to join any master's programme at the University of Twente, or countless other master's programmes throughout the world. The possibilities for your future career are virtually endless.
