Admission requirements for Chemical Science & Engineering


You are directly admitted to the Bachelor's programme if you possess a Dutch ‘vwo’ diploma with a profile in Natuur & Techniek (Nature and Technology). If you have done Natuur & Gezondheid (Nature and Health), you have to have Wiskunde B (advanced mathematics) and Physics in your profile in order to be able to enter this programme. If you have another profile, you have to have Wiskunde B (advanced mathematics), Physics and Chemistry in your profile.


Did you sit your final exams in Germany and do you have an Abitur? In order to be accepted into the Chemical Science & Engineering programme you need to have done Mathematics, English, Physics and/or Chemistry at Abitur level. If you have an international diploma, it has to be equivalent to Dutch ‘VWO’ level. English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are required subjects for admittance to this Bachelor's programme. Mathematics is an indispensable part of all science programmes. Experience shows that students who are good at sciences, such as Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (with grades 7 or higher), have a greater chance of success at studying Chemical Science & Engineering then those who have difficulty with these subjects.
