The Center for e-Government Studies conducts scientific research with regard to the electronic government. Results consist of advice to the administration, politicians on all layers of conduct: international, national, regional and local. Within this approach, the Center for e-Government studies wants to contribute to the transformation of the government from a supply oriented regulator to a demand driven service provider.
The research is conducted from the perspective of the user. The goal is to obtain insights into the needs, desires and behaviors of citizens and private companies. Parallel to that, the Center for e-Government studies the internal organization and communication processes of governmental organizations in a networked environment.
Together these insights contribute to the effective and efficient application of IT in the Dutch government.
