Innovation booster
Together with our regional partners such as Novel-T, Space53 and Twente47 and our European partner EIT Digital, we act as a local innovation booster for ICT-based business cases. We support students, academic researchers, startups and scale-ups in the entire process: from scouting & screening to protection of results to building a business case to starting a spin-off or contacting companies for licensing.
Digital Scale-up Accelerator
The European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT) is a public-private-partnership between universities, research organizations, companies and other innovation stakeholders. DSI was one of the founding fathers of EIT Digital headed by prof. Willem Jonker of the University of Twente. Its mission is to drive European leadership in ICT innovations for economic growth and quality of life. EIT Digital’s scale-up incubator enables our spin-off companies to enter European and worldwide markets. It facilitates fast and international growth of deep-tech businesses by giving them access to their European academic and industrial network and to their international pool of business developers.
European Digital Innovation HUB Networks on Robotics
DSI is leading the European network of Digital Innovation Hubs on Healthcare Robotics (DIH-HERO), as a joint effort with the Technical Medical Centre of the University of Twente. DIH-HERO stimulates the coordination of, and access to, services and facilities to bring robotics to the healthcare domain. DSI is also core partners in the European network of ‘Digital Innovation Hubs on Robotics for Maintenance & Inspection’ (DIH-RIMA).
