Masterclass: Global warning (ENG) - 1&2 vwo

Masterclasses are deepening and broadening programs that offer you an extra challenge in a subject of your choice. It gives you the opportunity to further develop yourself over a few weeks together with peers.

What can you expect? 

  • Program content

    Global warming is a worldwide problem. To tackle climate change, countries and people need to work together. However, it's challenging to bring people together with different ideas and beliefs. During this masterclass, we will explore the various perspectives of people from different backgrounds and delve into why these differences exist.

    You will work in small groups on your own case, considering the perspectives and ideas of your assigned group. You'll learn how to approach these people to reduce global warming together.

    This masterclass will help you understand why people think differently and how we can collaborate to fight climate change.

  • Required subjects/profile

    There are no required subjects to follow this masterclass. This masterclass is in English. 

  • After following this masterclass..
    • You are able to translate your ideas into a poster presentation;
    • You can use valid research methods;
    • You are able to create a method (with technology and theory) which is able to tackle a part of the problem.

Registration non-partnerschool students

Since the masterclasses take place during school hours and the invoice for participation is sent to your school, it is important to inform a contact person (such as your mentor) about your participation. We will send a confirmation of your registration to this contact person. If you have any questions, please contact us at masterclasses-pre-u@utwente.nl.

Photos and/or videos may be taken during this activity. If you do not wish to participate, you can inform the photographer/cameraman on site. The photos and videos will be used exclusively for Pre-U and UT promotional purposes.
