WaveFront Workshop 2013: Hoenderloo

On Thursday and Friday June 6 and 7th, scientists from FOM-Institute AMOLF in Amsterdam, the IMM Institute from the Radboud University Nijmegen, and from MESA+ will organize a two-day workshop in Hoenderloo, on the Veluwe. More than 120 participants will debate on how to shape waves in disordered or structured matter and –vice versa – how matter can shape waves, in order to drive breakthroughs in various fields of nanophotonics.

The beautiful natural surroundings of the Veluwe offer a relaxing atmosphere in which we will listen to 6 tutorial talks from experts from Amsterdam, Nijmegen and Twente. Recent research highlights will be presented in 9 short talks by mostly junior scientists. Two excellent key-note speakers, prof. Jeremy O’Brien from Bristol and prof. Mathias Fink from Paris will discuss latest developments from their perspective.
