Date: 10 November
Time: 16:00-17:00h
Location: start at the main entrance at the Sports Center University of Twente/Topvorm Twente
By: Renee Hof, physiotherapist and running therapist from Topvorm TwenteRunning therapy helps you mentally and physically. Get out of your head and into your body to feel full of energy again!
This activity will take place in groups of a maximum of 12 people. It is not a personal consult.
During this edition of the well-being weeks, recovery (sleep), vitality and physical and mental health are at the centre of attention. In addition, relaxation is also a very important subject. Running therapy will be an activity that will take place throughout these four weeks. The goal of running therapy is to get mental relaxation by physical effort (running or fast walking). This can be helpful if you have physical or mental complaints such as excessive worrying, depressive symptoms, anxiety- and/or panic attacks and fatigue complaints.
During the small-grouped session, you will learn to recognize the signals your body gives you, and based on this you will get tools to set some boundaries. Running therapy is developed for those who recognize themselves in one of the complaints written above. No basic level of running or running experience is required to sign up for running therapy.
Do you want to exercise under the supervision of an expert who will help you get grip on your complaints and helps you to find relaxation? Then sign up!
Normally this therapy takes 8 weeks in a row, but during our well-being weeks you can try out whether this way of relaxation fits you. Getting to know more about running therapy and how it can help is the goal of this clinic during the well-being weeks, and in addition, you get some practical tips. After this experience, it is possible to start with the 8 weeks course in a row.

In this Breath/Yoga session we will measure your breath, optimize it, practice in groups and you will be invited for a breathing exercise that brings relaxation.
Through the breath you have the most direct way to positively influence yourself mentally and physically.
Respiratory therapist and yoga teacher Ron, provides tools for good breathing and together we investigate whether your breathing can be improved. After the workshop you will receive the breathing exercise so that you can work at home if you wish.

Date: 16 November
Time: 15:30-16:30
Location: Ravelijn RA2501
By: Wilko Rohlfs (UT-ET)Personal action to overcome the energy crisis seems to be quite limited, and we tend to be paralyzed and not take action ourselves. Small PV power plants, so-called plug-in power plants, are one way of participating in the energy transition and benefiting to a small extent from the electricity generated by oneself. But how complex is the installation? What equipment is required? How much electricity do the one or two panels generate? What does the equipment cost and what payback period can be expected? In this workshop we will find answers to these questions together and from personal experiences. There will also be an opportunity to try out a plug-in power plant for yourself.

Even if we cannot significantly reduce our heating costs without expensive insulation measures, there is a chance for a measurable reduction through rather simple actions. In this workshop, we will first discuss the general mechanisms of heat transfer and use them to derive measures to reduce heat loss. In addition, we will discuss ways to improve the efficiency of the heating system, as well as the risks and dangers of too low room temperatures.

By: Ron ten VoordeDo you suffer from high breathing, are you short of breath or are you sensitive to stress?
Most people do not know how to breathe optimally or how to use it for health. They breathe irregularly, superficially and or limited. Did you know that wrong breathing activates stress hormones?
In this Breath/Yoga session we will measure your breath, optimize it, practice in groups and you will be invited for a breathing exercise that brings relaxation.
Through the breath you have the most direct way to positively influence yourself mentally and physically.
Respiratory therapist and yoga teacher Ron, provides tools for good breathing and together we investigate whether your breathing can be improved. After the workshop you will receive the breathing exercise so that you can work at home if you wish.
Make your Breath successful.
