Running therapy helps you mentally and physically. Get out of your head and into your body to feel full of energy again!

This activity will take place in groups of a maximum of 8 people. It is not a personal consult.

Running therapy will be an activity that will take place throughout these four weeks, and you can start with a session to find out if you like the Running Therapy. The goal is to get mental relaxation by physical effort (running or fast walking). This can be helpful if you have physical or mental complaints such as excessive worrying, depressive symptoms, anxiety- and/or panic attacks, and fatigue complaints.

During the small-group session, you will learn to recognize the signals your body gives you, and based on this, you will get tools to set some boundaries. Running therapy is developed for those who recognize themselves in one of the complaints written above. No basic level of running or running experience is required to sign up for running therapy.

Do you want to exercise under the supervision of an expert who will help you get grip on your complaints and helps you to find relaxation? Then sign up! Normally this therapy takes 8 weeks in a row, but during our well-being weeks you can try out whether this way of relaxation fits you. Getting to know more about running therapy and how it can help is the goal of this clinic during the well-being weeks, and in addition, you get some practical tips. After this experience, it is possible to start with the 8-week course in a row.

Tai Chi is a Chinese martial art that is practised for self-defence and health. Through slow and intentional movements in unison with breathing and mental focus, you will relax your body and mind. And boost your energy levels.

During this activity, you will get a lesson in Tai Chi at the beginner level, so no previous experience is needed.

So, join us for Tai Chi and you will feel more relaxed and energized afterwards!

  • FRI - Resuscitation Course

    Date: 22nd of November 2024
    Time: 9:00 - 12:00
    Location: Kleine Zaal (Vrijhof)

A reason to take a resuscitation course

Every year, 17,000 people in the Netherlands suffer a cardiac arrest outside the hospital. The chance of survival is greatest if someone starts resuscitation within 6 minutes. Not everyone knows how to do this.

Most resuscitations take place at home

In about 70% of cases, cardiac arrest occurs at home. This means that it often involves a parent, partner or child. A resuscitation course gives you the confidence and ability to act immediately when your loved one suffers a cardiac arrest.

    You can save lives

Anyone who has taken a resuscitation course can register as a citizen responder. If someone suffers a cardiac arrest near you, you will immediately receive a call on your mobile to take action. This can save lives.

    Anyone can learn to resuscitate

During the course, you will receive practical information that you can apply immediately. This is how you practice with a resuscitation doll and a training AED. You also learn to recognize cardiac arrest.

    Important
To participate in the practical session, you must have completed the e-learning (which will be sent to you with the confirmation).
