During the Special Olympics National Games 2022 in Twente, the University of Twente will be the competition venue for the Special Olympics Invitational Field Hockey Tournament, the international top tournament for G-hockey.
Twelve European countries will send their national G-teams to the Drienerlo hockey fields on campus in June 2022.
Special Olympics National Games
The tournament will take place during the Special Olympics National Games, which Twente is organising from 10 to 12 June 2022. This is the largest national sports event for people with a mental disability. The Olympic village will be housed on the campus and various side events will also take place on the UT site.
