Hi! My name is An Pan, I am 19 years old an I come from China. I am currently a second-year bachelor student majoring in Technical Computer Science. I chose the University of Twente because of its beautiful campus and diverse teaching methods.
Why the Netherlands?
Compared with other European’s countries and the US, the costs in the Netherlands are relatively lower. But the education quality is outstanding as well. And most of the courses are fully English taught. Another reason is that the Netherlands is a very multicultural country, coming to the Netherlands can let me meet people from different countries and different cultural backgrounds. Not only I can know various cultures, but also I can build up my own international social network.
Why Twente?
I chose to study at UT because the ranking of UT among all the 14 research universities is quite high, especially the computer science programme is at the top. Also, as a person who likes to live in a quieter and less chaotic city, Enschede has been a better choice compared to other big cities in the Netherlands.
“The only campus-based university in the Netherlands” is the other reason that I chose to come here. When I arrived at the campus for the first time, I was impressed by UT's beautiful campus, and all the campus facilities made it even better.
