But.... this is exactly the weather which brings our partners in problems since the canal has a too low water level for all the - heavy- ships to transport their freight in. Over the last weeks we have thus been confronted with the situation the digital twin is originally intended for, and the researchers working on the tool have appreciated all the insights shared by the industrial stakeholders, shippers and skippers. We are also grateful for the expertise and data provided by our public partners, like the Province of Overijssel, the Ports of Twente and Zwolle and of course Rijkswaterstaat who possesses a great amount of valuable data on which the platform can be built.
