Call for papers
The First European Academic Workshop:“The future of Electronic HRM (e-HRM) research”

Since the beginning of the 1990s, organisations have increasingly introduced web-based applications for HRM purposes, frequently labelled as electronic Human Resource Management (e-HRM). And, since the end of the 1990s, academic research into the use of e-HRM in implementing Human Resource Management strategies has taken off worldwide. However, while consultancy firms optimistically see many advantages in e-HRM for HRM, scholars are more critical and hesitant as research evidence until now is inconsistent. We invite the submission of papers, full research and research-in progress, to the up-coming First European e-HRM Workshop that will focus on reflection on what can be learnt from the first five years or so of “electronic” HRM research, and to determine its future direction.
